Thanks Mark! How did I miss that? I've always used I and K to shift
octaves. Could it have been added after version 2.2 when I read the docs
really carefully??

I often do that with both very low and very high sections, especially if
I'm entering stuff from the piano keyboard which isn't ideally placed in
our setup. It keeps the working area very small.
