Dear Stig,

Quickeys is good for a lot of things, and is worth having. You can also get
a lot of shortcuts automatically by using a control panel called TurboKeys.
This control panel allows you to access the menu items at the top of the
screen via keystrokes, in the same way that you can on the PC via Alt. e.g.
to toggle Select Partial Measures, I type <apple+control> ES. I seem to
remember getting this control panel from Connectix, but can't be sure about
that since it was so long ago. Of course, it only works in OS 9, not OS X.

BTW, you will probably also find that the Mac version of Finale runs much
slower than the PC version, due (I think) to the different way that the Mac
writes information to the screen. If Finale were G4 optimized, it may make
some difference (who knows?), but currently it's not. In addition, there
are many less palettes available on the Mac. Another downer is that we
Mac-ers can't use the Forza plugin. But on the plus side, there are Philip
Aker's plugins.

Good luck with it,

Matthew

P.S. Your emails from Microsoft Word are sending out copious excess HTML to
the list. It would be great if you could somehow turn this off, as it makes
the Digest hard to read.
