An annoying result of deleting and re-positioning various objects such as expressions and hairpins, is that a "ghost" of the deleted and/or moved object remains on the screen until a redraw.
Is this par for the course? If not, how can it be eliminated?
It IS par for the course, and a quick command-D (on a Mac) or control-D (on a PC) will re-draw. It's gotten to be second nature to me now.
