And not only for educational or theory-related purposes. There is a list
of 7-sharp or -flat pieces at http://www.cisdur.de/e_index.html (main German
version at http://www.cisdur.de). I know of further examples not listed here,
by slightly better known composers such as Debussy, Mahler, Honegger, Magnard,
and others.
It doesn't really matter whether some people despise such keys; the
decision whether to use them or not should not be decided by software, but left
to the composer. I hope this is only a temporary problem.
