Take the note position tool from the special tools and drag the 32nd rests to the right in order to achieve the length of the 32nd beam which you want. For precision's sake select them all first and then figure out what you need to set your Nudge setting to to get a one-key-press fix for a given zoom and a given measure. There might even be a plugin for this ... "Move all 32nd note rests x amount to the right..." does this exist? Then go into the Frame Editor and find all the 128-Duration entries which don't have Note/Rest checked. These are the 32nd note rests. Then set the Displacement (towards the bottom of the window) of these to something big (I use 555 for simplicity's sake). This throws your rests off the page. Then enter the rests in Layer 2. This is the part that has become rediculously difficult where it used to be a piece of cake when everything used to line up perfectly in Speedy! Anybody know of an easier method?
I had the same problem some month ago and recieved two solutions that both implicated that I have to use beam extention tool. That gave some other problems in Cross Staff notation and sometimes also when the layout changed, because you can't lock the beams to the next beams - (maybe a feature request?).
The new set of workaround was not mentioned, however I choosed to do this: enter it as a dotted 16th followed by a 32nd note all the way, then move the dot to the left until it is hidden by the notes. Enter the 32nd rest in another layer or voice.
