I would encourage everyone who feels strongly about speed and EPS issues to send emails to MakeMusic! They apparently have not heard the Macintosh community.
I wrote to MakeMusic! at <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> about the EPS export issue (I don't use Fin04 so I can't comment on the speed issue):
I currently use Finale 2002 in OS 9. I plan to buy Finale 2004 and use it in OS X (Panther) just as soon as you update it with EPS export. If you decide not to add EPS export, I will reluctantly switch to Sibelius.
They wrote back:
The EPS issue will definitely be resolved - we currently have many professional users who need this capability, so there is no question it will be added. We don't, however, yet know when the update will be completed for release.
And there it stands...
