I did miss that. However, I think it was meant somewhat differently.
Whatever the case, I don't think one could make a general case that external
HDs are more reliable than internal ones. In fact, there was a MacOs system
update some time ago which had major problems with some FireWire controllers
which resulted in Dataloss, so I think if anything as far as Macs go the
internal drives have a slightly better score at the moment.
