I create PDF's with FinWin 2K4b using Ghostscript. The screen view is as
you describe but the printouts are actually really good on the two
printers I use at home and on the three we have at work.

No, I mean with Acrobat or Ghostscript or CutePDF. The problem with
Finale is that the staff lines aren't all identical, which is really a
pain for music... They make a disastrous "impression".
