Hi Chris and Crystal

I also do take downs and am pretty good at it. I am a former ear training teacher at Berklee College. I use a software product called "Transcribe" (seventhstring.com) and then can make notation files.

Christopher,

Where are you located? People contact me often for this service, and I don't know anyone here in NYC who is willing to do it. It probably doesn't matter if you are not here. May I recommend you? How would you like to be contacted?

Nobody in NYC willing to do it? There have to be a ton of young musicians right out of school hungry for work, who have computer skills and terrific ears from the excellent university programs who can do this kind of work. This is how I paid the bills for several years when I had just finished school and trombone work was thin.

You can recommend me if you like, and they can contact me by email. The prices I quoted are lead sheet prices for performance copies; for publication I would charge more. I should warn you, though, I am not always available at short notice these days.

Christopher
