I write 'Maj' and '-' (minus sign). This is the only way I can sight- read in studio without making mistakes. Triangle often confuses me with diminish.
I know that the minus sign is in common use, but i discourage its use because it can mean two different things, minor or flat. As in: C-7(-5).
