[Finale] GPO instrument Choice Question(s)

What differences in sound (if any) should I expect between, say,   
solo instrument choices,  section instruments, KS instruments  
(whatever that means), and Full String choices?  In other words, I'm  
not sure what to choose for which purposes.  Sounds pretty much like  
me, no?
