Thanks, Jonathan. My jams are exactly those you described. Actually, there  is no real paper jam: the paper just doesn't get fed into the mechanism and  folds up accordion-wise. What kind of "alcohol based cleaner" do you use?  I'm also going to try heavier paper than the 80g. OT: Where are you in France? We aren't that many on the list, it seems. Dennis It's made by ONYX and labelled Nettoyant Menager.  They make a whole range of cleaning products usually found at most bricolage stores. I think I got mine from the chain store 'Bricorama' but they all stock it I'm sure. I'm in the Haute Savoie, on a small plateau just above Evian (Thollon-Les-Mémises). Plenty of snow here now (+ skiing) but v-v-v-ery cold!! Jonathan
