Yes, Johannes, I was thinking of living composers. If the composer is dead and buried he/she will not be in a position to contribute to the discussion.

I would not contemplate editing the work of a dead composer in order to make page turns.

That's only an option if you are the composer/arranger. In Kim's case I think she is editing 18th century music.
