On the Mac, PDF is a native format, support for which is provided by the OS. On Windows, that is not the case. The easiest way to produce a PDF on Windows is to go to pdf995.com and download the PDF printer driver from there. It's built on top of Ghostscript and is free (sponsored -- with ads). Once it's installed, it's as easy to use as choosing a printer. -- David W.
