For some reason, I followed that path exactly, but when I saved as an audio file, the choice was only WAV and aiff ... I didn't see MP3 as an option. Strange, because a couple of days ago, I managed to save as an MP3, but don't recall the path. Was your test done with a GPO file, or soft synth?

I don't know what Finale you have. In my version (2007) you can choose "save special" - "save as audio file" and than you can select between wav and mp3, so you don't need a seperate converter. I just tested it, saved a mp3, and it works fine. Playback without any problem.

Thanks to all your help ... I finally was able to get an audio file
onto my fledgling Web Page (note below). THANK YOU. Now, I'll be
damned if I can remember how to save a fin file as a MP3 file. What's
the path, please?
