While we no longer have an online catalogue at Harrock Hall (so I'm not trying
to get anyone to buy anything), when I set up the pricing structure for the
purchase of PDF licenses for some of our titles I took into account the fact
that the customer was going to spend more money down the line in printing. In
some cases PDF prices were as much as 70% less than the print versions. PDF
sales eventually outpaced those for hard copies, and it only took 2 months to
happen.

Another independent online vendor using this sort of pricing is Handlo Music.
(DISCLAIMER: I do own shares in Handlo, but I'm not trying to get anyone to buy
anything from the company through this post.)
