Chuck,

If text is the greatest of the two I would use a word processor and import the music as graphics. If music is the predominant thing on the page I might
do it in Finale, depends on the project.

Test is the greater, and I m familiar with importing music graphics into text docs, so that is not the issue.

You could capture a graphic of a word processing page and import the
resulting graphic into Finale.

I will try that, just so see if it works easily, but I do have Acrobat, so I can merge pdfs, and that will probably do the trick if importing the graphic of the wp page proves problematic.

Thanks,

If you are doing a lot of this and mixing sources,
maintaining constant font size might be a bit of a challange but if that's not a concern, it is doable. You could also export to PDF from multiple sources (Finale and wordprocessing) and combine pages from each is a single PDF
document.

Collective wise ones:

What is the best way to create a page of performance notes that
includes text instructions and small (one measure) musical excerpts?

Can a word processing document (formatted with musical inserts) be
dropped into a Finale page in toto? I have not had to do this before
and am looking for advice.

TIA
