Friends...Thanks for all the recommendations. After looking at all the recommendations and doing some haggling, I **just** acquired an HP w2207h 22" pivot at a very favorable price.
All of the monitors you suggested were nice; it came down to the price and terms. I am now happily staring at a full concert band page on the monitor while I send this email on the laptop screen. Love that extended desktop!! Each screen is running at 1680x1050...well, I'm pivoted to 1050x1680 on the 2207. Thanx...Jim W.
