Somehow, reading hard copy conveys information to my brain in a way that reading a computer monitor does not. I don't know if this is generational or more or less universal, but the experiences are palpably different to me. I can't imagine absorbing complex and detailed information conveyed in screen pixels. I'd love a real manual, but I recognize the enormity of the problem of designing and printing one every time there's an upgrade. Conveniently printable pages - the section you might need at the moment, would certainly help me. ( One button per subject - "Print this section.")

I agree with reading away from a computer screen, but if they don't want to print them, perhaps they could open an account with lulu.com (I think that's the name) for print-on-demand which would be much better than the 2-up photocopy type junk they sell now.

And I would even love to see them release it in ebook format -- I have a Sony Reader (the PRS500) which would require formatting for the Sony .lrf format, but the newer version, the 505, has just added the Adobe DE capability, which seems to be the coming standard for ebook publishing, so perhaps they would make such a download available free of charge at the Finale web-site for registered users.

I think I might investigate using some conversion tools I have currently and seeing if the HTML documentation might be easily converted to Sony format.
