From the original poster's description, it's possible that she already has her map set up so that if the notes were "transposed" down a third, the new slots are already defined and activated the way she wants them. If not, then as both you and I suggested, it will probably be less work just to edit the existing map to alter playback pitches rather than muck around with moving the notes *and* altering the map.
