I've got 2009 on a MacBook. I just tried it, and it works as described: control-option and the key (fghjkl;) to bring up the palate to program it, then control and the key after that to select it. If it doesn't work, I don't know? Caps-lock on? Maybe trash your preferences and try again?

It seems the programmed tools don't save with the preferences? At least they don't save when "save preferences on quit" is checked. They do save with the specific file. I find myself reprogamming every time I start a new file.

I use a G5 and a macbook. OS 10.4.11. Back when I used 2007 it worked fine on both.
