Johannes, I'm going to have to heartily disagree with you about Swing after 1900. Fiora Contino, a superb conductor and in of Puccini, Toscanini lineage (her father was the first Boheme Marcello) and her sister quite an accomplished Soprano) are close enough to the source to make a reliable statement on "Swing" This feeble brain can't remember the exact Italian term for it, but it does exist, and is a groove of mounting excitement.
