I had that problem when I installed 10.6.0. A MakeMusic tech. referred me to these instructions, which fixed the problem. http://makemusic.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1726
After that, the updates to 10.6.1 and 10.6.2 didn't mess with the fonts at all.
