Do you mean you can add a measure-attached text block that is centered on the page in the score and that it will end up centered in all extracted parts? This seems all the more less likely, or at least practical, that there is apparently no easy way to center a measure-attached text block.

No, I didn't mean that. All I meant was that a measure attached text block would not need to be moved in a score, that it would appear on whatever page the measure was, but would not be affected by resizing the system,

I'd be curious to see your method for centered movement titles in score and parts. \

I've only done it a few time, and not recently, but consulting my notes, the general procedure would seem to be

1) create the movement titles in the score as page attached text expressions;

2) after the score is printed, or using a copy of the file (don't know how this would work with linked parts; as they are not yet part of my work flow) convert movement titles from page-attached to measure attached text blocks by editing the text block frame attributes editing dialog box;

3) lay out the parts, leaving appropriate room for the movement titles in the appropriate places; and finally

4) note the page numbers on the parts where the movement titles go, switch to scroll view (where, IIRC, one must be to edit the dialog box of measure attached text blocks), and use the edit text block attribute box to redefine the text block from measure attached to page attached, and define the parameters of the text block.

I rarely, or rather never, use measure-attached text blocks, because I fail to see any advantages over measure-attached expressions. They have become practically useless since Finale 2004 (I believe).

When I have made use of measure attached text blocks, it is to do two things, one of them being movement titles, in those cases where I do not separate movements into separate files; the other is for personal annotations which are defined to show only on the screen and not on the print out. For example, if I'm setting a work where I think there's an error in the source I'm working for, which I correct, I'll sometimes use a measure attached text block to make a note of the details, particularly if I don't have time to research the answer at the moment, and I'm sufficiently interested that I want to go back and research the answer later.
