I haven't gotten into that portion of the 2012 Score Manager yet, but does it 
create voiced parts, like Flute 1 and 2 on the same score staff but with 
separate parts? Setting that up is a bit of a pain, so I have gotten into the 
habit of using my own Orchestra template with the voiced parts already set up. 
That is one very good reason to use templates, IMO.
