I'm writing up a very short guide in OpenOffice Writer for students which is text heavy and I wish to intersperse some very short (mostly single measure) examples which I create in Finale, but not sure on the best way to combine these. I want to have good quality DPI on the Finale bits so it looks good when printed. (not screenshots)
I thought about doing it all in Finale using text boxes for the text, but there is the matter of dealing with sizing and positioning of staves for very short bits of music - usually single measures placed here and there with mostly text. Also, when I copy/paste my work from OpenOffice into a Finale text box, my text formatting is gone and I'd need to manually start over with the formatting. No biggie, but just one more thing to deal with.
