Windows? Occasionally when I'm using Finale 2014.5, it quietly switches the file saving to the /windows/system32 folder, where Finale can open them but they can't otherwise be seen. (None of my default folders are set to this, so I'm not sure why it happens.) I've found the only way to fix this (aside from being careful that Finale doesn't do this to you in the first place) is to, during the open dialog, drag the files elsewhere.
