I have followed the directions for the Upgrade Kit for Mac OS X 10.1. I
have an old version of fink and I keep running I keep running into
dependencies problems with apt-shlibs. What do I need to do to get past
this barrier? I have not found apt-shlibs to install separate from
apt_0.5.4-4.
Here's how I tried to upgrade apt (the first step of the Upgrade Kit)
and its failure.
[Deke-Smiths-Computer:~] dekesmit% fink --version
Package manager version: 0.9.11
Distribution version: unknown
[Deke-Smiths-Computer:~] dekesmit% sudo dpkg -i
apt_0.5.4-4_darwin-powerpc.deb
(Reading database ... 15190 files and directories currently installed.)
Preparing to replace apt 0.5.4-4 (using apt_0.5.4-4_darwin-powerpc.deb)
...
Unpacking replacement apt ...
dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of apt:
apt depends on apt-shlibs (= 0.5.4-4); however:
Package apt-shlibs is not installed.
dpkg: error processing apt (--install):
dependency problems - leaving unconfigured
Errors were encountered while processing:
apt
Thanks,
Deke
