[Fink-beginners] Apple font question

Hello,

Does anyone understand how the apple font package works or how to get GIMP to find them. Is it a function of the windows manager?

I am using blackbox-rootless. GIMP can't find any. After upgrading I accidently installed blackbox (the regular version) and GIMP found some, but since the menu wouldn't work in blackbox (the regular version) I reinstalled blackbox-rootless and I'm back to GIMP not finding any.

Any help would be apreciated.
