just to be sure...
if I have this set up :
• qt3 (3.2.2-11) compiled from source
• bundle-kde (3.1.4-11) from binaries
• .xinitrc file in my home directory (i.e. : ~ ) containing this (because i use apple X11):

Yes, you need the new binaries (newer than the Fink bindist) from the URL I gave, or you need to rebuild qt3. qt3 was built against a version of XFree86 that Apple's X11 is not entirely compatible with.
The Fink bindist was built on 10.2, not everything runs out of the box on 10.3.
