You should only need to build qt3 from source. Or, there is a workaround, you can use the unofficial binary distribution from http://fink.opendarwin.org/ that Rob Braun set up.

In another case we hunted this down to an old version of
/usr/X11R6/include/freetype2/freetype/internal/ftstream.h
remaining there, although X11SDK.pkg was installed. Rebuilding qt3 from source did not help.

Raphael, what date does

ls -l /usr/X11R6/include/freetype2/freetype/internal/ftstream.h

indicate?

Installing X11SDK.pkg a second time (*) and then rebuilding gt3 did help.

As would using bbraun's bindist, of course.

(*) The FAQ should probably say: "Install X11User.pkg and X11SDK.pkg twice, even if you have them installed already."
