Hello,
I'm trying to install xfree86 on an Intel Mac. (Actually, I wanted to
use gnuplot, but if I
understand rightly, I need X11 to do that?)
This is my first Mac. Before that, I tried to use Linux for some
years ;), but gave up
because I don't fancy being system administrator for my computer 24
hours a day.
However, as long as other people could help me with my Linux
problems, I was fine,
so I have basic knowledge about the Unix world.
Here what the fink said when I tried to install xfree86:
--------------------------
$ sudo apt-get install xfree86

I looked in the archives, and found this:

It looks like this is a problem similar to mine, but I could not
understand
the answer to this post.
Now, I don't know what to do next, and would appreciate your help.
Should I remove the installation (how?), try xorg, try something else?..
Cheers,
Zina
