You might still be using the ‘point’ release of package descriptions. To get more recent package descriptions, you should use either rsync or cvs to update them; rsync is usually the most preferable method. Please run the following commands: fink selfupdate fink selfupdate-rsync fink index -f fink selfupdate This should bring you up to date (selfupdate) using the rsync method to download package descriptions (selfupdate-rsync), rebuilding Fink’s internal index of package descriptions (index -f). After doing this procedure you may resume normal Fink usage. Note that selfupdate-rsync only needs to be run once: Fink remembers that you have chosen the rsync method and it is going to use this choice in any subsequent selfupdates. -- monipol ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ Fink-beginners mailing list [email protected] http://news.gmane.org/gmane.os.apple.fink.beginners
