It tried it - no difference, same errors :-( But fortunately, the Carbon Copy Clone.app seems to work well; I tried it with dummy images (that I made accept user rights via sudo vsdbutil -a <Volumename>), and it conserves the user rights. CCC is also described as providing bootable copies. Maybe I should say goodbye to psync and use CCC instead. But still I wonder how to fix this bug.
