Thanks for your prompt reply

Ok, I did fink selfupdate-cvs
There were some default questions which I answered using the default answers
After that was done I did the following:

bash-3.2$ fink update-all (I did this b/c x11 said "The core packages have been
updated. You should now update the other packages using commands like 'fink
update-all'.")

Password:
Information about 9164 packages read in 0 seconds.
WARNING: unable to determine last selfupdate time. You should run 'fink
selfupdate' to get the latest package descriptions.
No packages to install.
bash-3.2$ fink index -f
Scanning package description files..........
bash-3.2$ fink selfupdate

I will now run the cvs command to retrieve the latest package descriptions. The
'su' command will be used to run the cvs command as
the user 'Jullia'. After that, the core packages will be updated right away; you
should then update the other packages using
commands like 'fink update-all'.

bash-3.2$ fink update-all
Information about 9164 packages read in 1 seconds.
No packages to install.

============
Normal thus far?
If so, what's next?
