On what compiler/OS versions? I just saw your commit and doing the - -fabi-version unsetting that you are doing is likely to cause binary incompatibilities when using gcc-4.0 as the default compiler on tiger. Please ensure that setCC and setCXX are also used to guarantee gcc-3.3 is being used.
