Hi Michèle. I've seen things like this before. This kind of upgrade issue is exactly why I haven't moved libgettext3 to stable. We need to have a strategy for avoiding any issues with users who upgrade to libgettext3.
Yes, that's why I reported, in case it allows to discover a new issue. Finally I get it worked (at least at the moment) with an ./inject.pl and reintroducing stable/main and stable/crypto in fink.conf and running the recommended sudo apt-get etc...
From that, it accepted to switch from gettext to libgettext3. I'm not clear if it is only the ./inject.pl which did the trick though.
Next, I'll try to remove stable/main and stable/crypto from within fink.conf again and I'll report if it works or not. Probably tomorrow (140 packages to install).
If you need me more testing under other conditions on Mac OS X 10.4 ppc machine, just tell me which ones. At the moment I have 4 fink installations, but get about 200 Go for more installations if needed: 10.4-transitional with: Trees: unstable/main unstable/crypto local/ main local/injected (fink_0.24.99.cvs from 20051214.2057) 10.4-transitonal with: Trees: stable/main stable/crypto local/main local/injected (fink_0.24.99.cvs from 2060116.0434) 10.4 with: Trees: local/main stable/main stable/crypto local/injected ( no inject here) 10.4 with: Trees: local/main unstable/main unstable/crypto stable/ main stable/crypto local/injected (fink_0.24.99.cvs from 20060224.1443)
