When the updated Fink asks about the setting, give 3 option: 1) Turn on the option - pref (true) written to fink.conf 2) Turn off the option (mention ability to manually turn it on by user later) - pref (false) written to fink.conf 3) Do nothing at this time. Next update will ask again - pref not written to fink.conf.
