I'm sure about the policy really.  And it might not have been
xfree86-system, I'm compiling qt 3.0.2 right now and don't want to use
extra cpu time :P  But altimetly max will have final say on weather this
is useful or not.  Though i do believe there is a high enough demand for
it :P.  it does do verions and revisions as well...if you apply the patch
(you must be running current cvs with the splitoff codes, and do a fink
info <pkg>-<version>-<revision> it will find it and tell you the tree.  if
it's both or all three tree it will default to the first tree it's in in
your fink.conf.
