Unfortunately, I am not in the US (I thought that my bad
English was already giving that away). I currently live in
Brazil and $90 is quite a lot of money here, if the memory
        indeed costed that.

Unfortunately, any order from Crucial.com charges $30 for
shipping alone, which means that the order would be around
        US$120.00.

I would pay 60% of taxes for imports [1] and an exchange rate
of approximately 3.37 [2]. This would mean that the order of a
        256MB stick would cost me around 120*1.6*3.37 = R$647.00.

Considering that our minimum wage is R$200.00 [3] and that I
am a graduate student, you probably know why it's not
practical to have my memory upgraded. Or why I won't be
getting Jaguar anytime soon. Or why I won't be signing .Mac.
