I have fink and FinkCommander on two systems, both with G4 processors running 10.2.x.
The one at work has a direct Internet connection, the one at home is behind a V.90 modem. So I can't download really large packages at home. But I've got a CD burner and Toast. I'd like to know if their are files that I can copy between systems to move 1) source code, 2) fink pre-built binary packages or 3) packages I've built myself. I don't fully understand how the fink build system works, though I've got a strong general knowledge of Unix/Linux from working on other versions than Mac OSX. My immediate interest is in getting a bunch of xfree86 and gnome packages up at home. Right now I'm using a mix of binary packages, and source packages from stable and unstable (because some of the applications I want haven't made it to stable yet). -- Albert Lunde [EMAIL PROTECTED] (new address) [EMAIL PROTECTED] (old address) ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _______________________________________________ Fink-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/fink-users
