Currently in the stable tree there is netpbm (9.25-3) and netpbm10
(10.12-2). The strange thing (at least to me) is that one of the
splitoffs, netpbm-bin, is part of 10.12, but is named to seem to be
part of 9.25 (eg not netpbm10-bin):

netpbm 9.25-3 Graphics manipulation programs and libraries
netpbm-bin 10.12-2 Graphics manipulation programs and libraries
netpbm-shlibs 9.25-3 Graphics manipulation programs and libraries
netpbm10 10.12-2 Graphics manipulation programs and libraries
netpbm10-shlibs 10.12-2 Graphics manipulation programs and libraries

I noticed this while trying to rebuild imlib with libpng3 (for sawfish for
gnome1.4 which stopped working when I upgraded to libpng3) and sawfish
depends on netpbm.

Here are the BuildDepends/Depends for netpbm-9.25-3:
Package: netpbm
Version: 9.25
Revision: 3
BuildDepends: libjpeg, libpng3, libtiff
Depends: %N-shlibs (= %v-%r), %N-bin
Replaces: netpbm (<< 9.25-1), netpbm10
Conflicts: netpbm10

Now, netpbm and netpbm10 should not like each other because netpbm9.25
conflicts with netpbm10 according to the info file. But my commandline
for installing netpbm is:

nieder % sudo fink install netpbm
Information about 1125 packages read in 1 seconds.

The following package will be installed or updated:
 netpbm
The following 3 additional packages will be installed:
 netpbm-bin netpbm-shlibs netpbm10-shlibs

Netpbm and netpbm10 supposedly conflict, but they're both going to be
installed. Seems to me the only reason netpbm10-shlibs is being installed
is because netpbm-bin is a splitoff of netpbm, but in reality is a part of
netpbm10 and that requires netpbm10-shlibs.

Is this the case of a bad naming system or am I missing something?
