Some time ago, I was able to build earlier versions of Evolution with fink. I decided to try this again and I ran into some gnome library confusion. Evolution requires many gnome packages and a configure for gal199-1.99.10-4 fails about here:
<fink install evolution>
checking for libgnomeprint-2.2 >= 2.2.0 libgnomeprintui-2.2 >= 2.2.1 libglade-2.0 libgnomeui-2.0 libgnomecanvas-2.0 libxml-2.0... Package libgnomeui-2.0 was not found in the pkg-config search path.
Perhaps you should add the directory containing `libgnomeui-2.0.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable

</fink list libgnomeu>My first thought is to install libgnomeui2 and try to adjust the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable as advised. Has anyone seen this error. Does my plan to fix sound ok?
Any other ideas?
