You need the -dev package, too. I guess this still hasn't been fixed. -- Alexander K. Hansen Levitated Dipole Experiment http://www.psfc.mit.edu/LDX

Try doing a selfupdate--I had thought that the gal199 depends issues were fixed.
Even if there's still dependency problems in evolution, you don't need to mess around with PKG_CONFIG_PATH--I was able to install it by just installing the packages that gal199 was complaining about.
Thanks Alexander. I did do a self update right before I tried to build evolution. I installed the package that it seems it could use:
<fink list libgnomeu> Information about 2510 packages read in 2 seconds. i libgnomeui2 2.4.0.1-3 The GNOME 2 UI Library libgnomeui2-dev 2.4.0.1-3 The GNOME 2 UI Library i libgnomeui2-shlibs 2.4.0.1-3 The GNOME 2 UI Library </fink list libgnomeu>
and I still receive the same error
<fink install evolution> /usr/bin/sudo /sw/bin/fink install evolution Password: Information about 2510 packages read in 2 seconds.

Perhaps you should add the directory containing `libgnomeui-2.0.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable

Does anyone else have gal199-1.99.10-4 successfully built?
