I have used Fink on several machines without difficulty, but recently set up a new G5 machine and get the following message when trying to
fink selfupdate checking whether the C compiler (gcc -L/sw/src/gettext-0.10.40-18/gettext-0.10.40/intl/.libs -L/sw/lib) works... no configure: error: installation or configuration problem: C compiler cannot create executables. ### execution of ./configure failed, exit code 1 Failed: compiling gettext-0.10.40-18 failed I looked in the archives for other similar problems.
