Hi, everyone,
I am in the fourth day of trying to install bundle-kde-ssl, and it fails when
trying to download povray, in a weird way: the curl process goes through to
what it appears to be a complete download, but continues on, even if
indicative of 100% download, for ever, if I would let it to. Only option of
breaking out of this are to give up, or attempt usage of the same mirror. I
have also tried to wget the povray archive, manually, and put it in
the /sw/src, then attempt another install, pointing to the local file, but it
fails when unpacking.
Here are my questions:
- how do I get past this?
- if not possible (e.g. the archive of povray being broken, perhaps, and no
other mirror available for use), could I "unbundle" it from the
bundle-kde-ssl, and still move on with the rest?
- any other suggestions?!?
I had no problem to download and build povray-3.61-2 just now. The
download command that fink used was
curl -f -L -P - -O
ftp://ftp.povray.org/pub/povray/Official/Unix/povray-3.6.1.tar.bz2
