Thanks a lot, you were spot on, and your patch made arts build. The
same patch had to be included in kdelibs3-unified.info, and to be
prepared, I also added it to kdebase3-unified.info.

Unfortunately that doesn't seem to make the whole trick, since, when
building kdebase, I now get this:

configure: error: xmkmf/imake not found. Please make sure it's in PATH!
kdebase3-unified-3.5.9-1 configure failed!

I tried to install xmkmf via fink, which succeeded, but still that
makes no difference, and I assume that's because it's the one
belonging to fink's X-server, and not to Xquartz.

Another interesting message from the configure that I noticed was:

checking X11/Xft/Xft.h usability... no
checking X11/Xft/Xft.h presence... no
checking for X11/Xft/Xft.h... no
configure: WARNING: Missing Xft headers - disabling font previews!

Xft.h is available in /usr/X11R6/include/X11/Xft/

I CCed the maintainer as well, I hope one of you guys can help me.

Thanks a lot!
Martin
