For what it's worth, changing autoheader (autoconf) to /usr/bin/ 
autoheader (resp. /usr/bin/autoconf) in CompileScript seems to fix the  
build error on my Intel 10.5.7, Xcode 3.1.3 box. I'll let gcc42  
compile and will let you know if it succeeds.
