Actually, trying to remove gcc43-shlibs failed: dpkg: dependency problems prevent removal of gcc43-shlibs: octave depends on gcc43-shlibs. hdf5-shlibs depends on gcc43-shlibs. fftw3 depends on gcc43-shlibs. fftw depends on gcc43-shlibs. atlas-shlibs depends on gcc43-shlibs. /sw/bin/dpkg: error processing gcc43-shlibs (--remove):
I could to try 'remove --recursive', if you think this is a wise.
