The "error in locking authority file /Users/eduardo/.Xauthority" looks
like a promising avenue to pursue. Check its permissions via
ls -l $HOME/.Xauthority
Mine looks like
$ ls -l $HOME/.Xauthority
- -rw------- 1 hansen staff 1814 Apr 28 18:17 /Users/hansen/.Xauthority
If yours has the wrong permissions or ownership, then that will give
similar behavior to what you're seeing.
Also, make sure that all X11-related processes are really dead. If
possible you might want to reboot. In fact, I changed the permissions
on my .Xauthority for test purposes, and now _I_ can't start X11.
